Specialised occupational therapy services for adults who have complex cognitive, behavioural and sensory functional support needs due to co-existing diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability.

The founder of OT Detectives, Courts Karoubas, is an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years’ experience working within complex care teams.

OT Detectives understands that consistent, trauma-informed and highly skilled professional relationships are essential to achieving safe and sustainable outcomes. We have extensive experience providing the following specific Occupational Therapy services:

  • Sensory Processing Focused Assessment and Intervention Strategies

  • Functional Capacity Assessment and Recommendations (including Specialist Disability Accommodation)

  • Administrative Review Tribunal Assessment, Evidence Review and Recommendations

As an Occupational Therapy client you can expect:

  • Values driven, client-centric and ethical therapeutic support

  • A focus on personal strengths, difficulties and goals

  • A trans-disciplinary and consultative model of care

  • Evidence-based recommendations

  • Community based support

  • A focus on supporting individuals and their caregivers to achieve meaningful quality of life, rather than simply surviving “the system"

How to make a referral

When you complete our Quick NDIS Referral Enquiry Form (3 minute screener) it will give us just enough information to let you know quickly whether we have capacity to support your needs, so you don't waste your precious time filling out pages of intake forms, only to find out about extensive waiting lists that are not suitable to your needs.

OT Detectives values altruistic therapeutic support.

If we do not have capacity to support you, we will try our best to suggest another excellent local OT who may have capacity sooner.
